Role Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and structured Business Analyst (BA) with exposure to network infrastructure and firewall management to support a strategic automation initiative. The role focuses on translating complex network security requirements into well-defined, build-ready artifacts while driving governance, stakeholder alignment, and measurable value delivery.
This is not a generic BA role—you’ll be working closely with Network Engineers, Security Teams, and Developers to enable automation in firewall rule lifecycle management.
Required Skills & Experience
Core BA Skills
  • Strong experience in Business Analysis within Agile environments
  • Expertise in requirement gathering, use case modeling, and backlog management
  • Ability to create developer-ready user stories and functional specifications
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills
Networking / Security Domain Knowledge (Critical)
  • Working knowledge of:  
  • Firewall rule lifecycle (creation, validation, deployment)
  • Network security concepts (ACLs, NAT, zones, ports, protocols)
  • Experience working with Network / Security teams is mandatory
Tools & Practices
  • Agile tools: Jira
  • Documentation: Confluence / SharePoint
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (for migration and reporting tracking)
KPIs / Success Metrics
  • % Requirements validated with Network Engineers
  • Scope Stability Index (change control effectiveness)
  • Backlog readiness and story quality metrics
  • Lead time (requirement → build-ready)
  • % Delivery vs planned backlog
  • Migration progress (manual → automated processes)
  • Business value delivered (hours saved, processes eliminated)
  • Traceability completeness (FSD ↔ SDS mapping)
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 5–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Prior experience in network security / firewall / infrastructure projects
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional, enterprise environments
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with a bias for structure, governance, and measurable outcomes
Nice to Have
  • Experience in automation or DevOps environments
  • Exposure to API-based integrations
  • Understanding of ITSM or change management processes
