Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in building and maintaining network automation scripts and workflows.
  • Support automated provisioning and configuration of network devices and cloud networking components.
  • Work with senior engineers on CI/CD pipelines for network changes.
  • Learn and apply network-as-code and automation-first principles.
  • Participate in monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution for network systems.
  • Write clean, maintainable Python scripts for automation and integrations.
  • Contribute to documentation, testing, and standardization of network configurations.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams to understand end-to-end systems.

Required Skills
  • Basic understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS).
  • Introductory experience with Python scripting.
  • Familiarity with Linux environments.
  • Exposure to automation tools like Ansible or Terraform (academic or project-based acceptable).
  • Willingness to learn CI/CD, cloud networking, and automation platforms.
  • Basic understanding of Git and version control.

Preferred Skills
  • Hands-on labs or projects using Ansible, Python, or Terraform.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and structured data formats (JSON, YAML).
  • Exposure to NETCONF/YANG concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud networking (VPCs, subnets, routing tables).
  • Interest in SRE, observability, and reliability engineering.

Qualification
